How to become a member

Eligibility criteria for Alpha Chapter:

BSN students not yet licensed as a registered nurse RN:
7th and 8 Semester, senior standing (½ of nursing curriculum completed)
IU cum of 3.50 or higher OR IU cum of 3.0 and nursing cum of 3.50 or higher. No rounding, therefore a GPA of 3.4999 is not a 3.50 and not eligible for induction.

RN-BSN - already licensed as RN:
Senior standing (½ nursing curriculum: 25 nursing credit hours completed OR RN-BSN online students enrolled in capstone course)
IU cum of 3.50 or higher OR IU cum of 3.0 and nursing cum of 3.50 or higher. No rounding, therefore a GPA of 3.4999 is not a 3.50 and not eligible for induction.

MSN and Doctoral students:
¼ nursing curriculum complete (14 nursing credit hours)
Officially admitted to the Graduate program
IU GPA of 3.50 or higher (cumulative). No rounding, therefore a GPA of 3.4999 is not a 3.50 and not eligible for induction.

Nurse with BSN:
Apply as nurse leader, based on leadership criteria in clinical setting, research or education. Information and application information on the STTI website
Note: For MSN and doctoral students applicants,
if GPA not high enough, and is a registered nurse with a bachelor degree in any field, they could apply as a Nurse Leader.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALPHA CRITERIA (ABOVE) IS SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT THAN THE CRITERIA POSTED ON THE STTI WEBSITE WHICH RELIES ON CLASS RANK (top 35%). ACCEPTANCE INTO ALPHA CHAPTER DEPENDS ON GPA RATHER THAN CLASS RANK.
